46. IREX - Mongolian Language Training Program

The International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) invites applications for its Mongolian Language Training Program. This program awards a twelve-week intensive language training program to U.S. scholars who wish to travel to Ulaanbaatar for Mongolian language study. The goal of the program is to encourage study of the region. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The competition is open to all postdoctoral researchers, graduate, and upper level undergraduate students with a demonstrated interest in Mongolian studies. Grants provide round-trip economy air fare, tuition, housing and a modest living allowance. No dependent support is available. The deadline for applications is JANUARY 15, 2000.
